A major news from the lab is that we are relocating to New York City! I am excited that I will be joining the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The City College of New York as an Associate Professor.

After 8 years at the University of Kansas, it is difficult to say goodbye, but the new chapter is open and it is time to replace the sunflowers with skyscrapers.

From Sunflowers to Skyscrapers.

City College is an amazing place. It is situated in the north of the Manhattan island in West Harlem and near Hamilton Heights. Few blocks south is Columbia University. Line 1 of the subway is the nearest one and it follows the odd diagonal, off-grid Manhattan street, Broadway, on the surface.

The area around the college is beautiful and lively. There are lots of food trucks (chicken over rice seems popular), and fruit stands.
